When it was my turn for book club in September I chose to read "I Am A Mother" by Jane Clayson Johnson. This poem was in the book and I remember that my Mom had it hanging on the wall when I was a child. I never really understood it until now as I have children that are growing up faster than I want them too. I need to be better at letting go of cleaning and organizing my house so that I can be a part of their small moments. This is a good reminder to do that. ~B
"Cleaning and scrubbing can wait 'til tomorrow
For babies grow up we've learned to our sorrow,
So quiet down cobwebs and dust go to sleep
I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep."
